I took over IT at an entity that has a ton of vlans. The gentlemen I replaced was disgruntled and will offer no training or help. I'm trying to document as much as I can and learn all I can prior to disaster. I was left with a 1/2 page of usernames and passwords and a network diagram that is done very poorly. The root netgear managed switch here has a big circle around it on the diagram that says it had a firmware issue and the password will not work (ironic...you leave mad and the password don't work?!?!). The note says it needs to be factory reset and setup again. I have passwords to other managed switches. I came in on Saturday and traced where each of the 48 ports went and documented. I used Managed Switch Port Mapping to try and figure out what each port has assigned to it for a vlan etc. My problem is there is a vlan tag "33"...
