Hi All,
I would like to set up an interface on our SonicWall NSA220 such that:
- the primary interface allows access to the management interface on a remotely-located VDSL modem,
- a VLAN sub-interface is configured as a WAN DHCP interface (the VDSL modem can tag bridged internet traffic).
I can set the Zone of the sub-interface to WAN, and can enter a VLAN tag, however the IP Assignment drop-down is read-only and cannot be changed of Static - The other standard options of PPPoE, DHCP, PPTP, etc, are not available.
Does anyone know if it is possible to configure a WAN connection on a sub-interface with DHCP? Is this a bug or a limitation of the router?
For background:
Our rescue base has a SonicWall NSA220. Due to reliability concerns, we are setting up a second internet connection, but the VDSL2 modem will be at a remote location. Not only will...
