There is a User Inactivity Timeout on our SMA 200 and I find it applies OK to a connection into a virtual office portal but not when there is an RDP remote connection session active. Whether the remote session is made via a portal bookmark configured to use the Terminal Services (RDP) service or via a NetExtender connection, the timeout is not applied -- only during the basic browser session with the portal webapp.
This is very limiting because RDP is the main use of our VPN users, and I need to enforce an inactivity timeout. After considerable time going back and forth with SonicWALL support I am beginning to doubt that it is possible, but I hope I am wrong.
Has anyone had success getting the SMA to apply the timeout to a remote connection?
