I have a dentist office as a customer. Their internet was DSL into a Sonicwall TZ100.
The Dr. tried to set up IP phones and could not get them to work. So he removed the Sonicwall and was running his computers off of the DSL modem/router.
I reset the Sonicwalland put it back into the network. He was then concerned that the DSL modem WIFI was not working now.
This was becauseI had handed full control of the network to the Sonicwall by using transparent bridging.
So I took the SW to my office to get the firmware up to date. I am just getting ready to return it. I noticed on their website that this model will be retired in November.
When I asked him to think about getting a new Sonicwall he said he did not want to spend $800 on a new device. I don't know where he got his numbers from.
Should we ride this TZ100 until November and then look into...
