All of my customers keep their service/warranty up to date. So if unit goes down, Sonic support ships one out overnight. (Come to think of it have only had 1 go bad over the years) The overnight replace is good for all of the customers, as we could use a low end router until the replacement got there. I have one customer that we could not use the cheap router and next day would be too long without internet. I want a spare on-site that the end user can swap out, just plug and go. I don't want to have customer pay for 2 subscriptions to content filter for one that will be in a box. I ask a Sonic Wall tech about this and the best I can come up with is we get a second unit just like the one in service. Upload the current config to the new Sonic, but do not go on-line to "Register" / "Activate". If the current unit goes down, swap to spare...
