My current setup at home is a Sonicwall TZ400 using the default X0 interface for my LAN
From time to time I have to setup additional firewalls for friends or customers. Is it possible to access the customer firewall if I plug it into a unused port on my existing firewall? I understand that I at least need to do some initial setup like configuring the ports.
For example: I assigned an unused port on my home firewall (lets use x3) and set it up as PortShield to switch mode, zone = LAN, Portshield to XO , which is my home LAN.
Then on the new firewall - choose a port (lets say x7) and set it up as a LAN port with a static IP and connect it to x3 on my firewall. Check off https management and ping ect..
Should that in theory let me open up a web browser and connect from my laptop to the new firewall interface?
