Comcast offers services for connecting sites via fiber
1. Ethernet Private Line (EPL) http://business.comcast.com/ethernet/products/private-line
2. Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) http://business.comcast.com/ethernet/products/virtual-private-line
If I need to extend our network to another site, and we have 3 different devices doing inside routing on different VLAN's can we do this on both services, or will the EVPL be needed?
The EVPL supports Service Multiplexed User Network Interfaces, that enables a single physical connection to Customer Premise Equipment for multiple virtual connections.
Is it possible however to use soncwalls to connect on the EPL using portsheild and VLAN trunking?
