I am trying to configure a SonicWall TZ 215 firewall on my home network for practice as I will need to move one of our existing SonicWalls to a different location in the next two months. At work we have Cox Business and the router has a static WAN address. At home I have Cox Residential but my WAN address isn't static.
The sonicwall asks for the default gateway of my WAN but I can't seem to find it. When I call Cox and ask them for it, they act like they do not know what I am talking about, they tell me "they don't give out IP addresses (LOL), or they put me on "ghetto hold" and I wind up hanging up out of frustration.
My questions are:
1. Can the SonicWall Tz 215 be configured on a home network with a WAN that is not static?
2. Why is it so hard to find my WAN's default gateway? I googled it and it says to run a traceroute to any...
