If I place the UBEE in bridge mode will this send those calls to the Sonicwall?

I have a UBEE DDW36C1 cable modem

With a dynamic IP address, let’s say 172.2.2.2.

A Sonicwall behind that. 

I want to be able to route (from external) to 172.2.2.2 and have that reach my Sonicwall (who will then decide what to do). (And I do understand the address is dynamic and not static, and that’s ok for the testing I want to perform.) 

If I place the UBEE in bridge mode will this send those calls to the Sonicwall?  I’m a bit confused since the IP 172.2.2.2 is the UBEE and so why would it send it down the LAN port?

At the end of the day I want to be able to make connections from external to the Sonicwall, who will then determine the fate of the call.
