Not a firewall expert by any means, maybe there is a tip from the community that might help me.
I was getting intermittent complaints about VPN connectivity from users who could connect, then could not connect later in the evening etc. There didn't seem to be a pattern. (The vpn client would be stuck on 'connecting' after entering credentials and just never connect.)
Everything else seemed fine though.
The box has been running for months, so I thought a restart after hours might clear things up as it has in the past.
After restarting, there was no access to the internet. I could not ping 8.8.8.8 for example from my workstation. Web pages would not load. I was able to get back in to the Sonicwall administration, and from there I could ping 8.8.8.8, so it was getting from the Firewall itself.
